JUNIOR REGISTRATION

Junior Registration will take place on Friday 6th February, 6pm to 8 pm at the club.

The JUNIOR REGISTRATION/CONSENT FORM needs to be completed and signed. PLEASE READ THE JUNIOR PLAYERS MANUAL BEFORE COMPLETING THE REGISTRATION FORM.

The Junior Players Manual contains ALL the information you will need, in particular Page 23, which has details of membership fees and how to pay.

Please read through the contents of the manual with your child so that everyone is aware of the club’s code of conduct and the level of behaviour expected as a member of Lytham Cricket Club.

If you are able to attend in person that would be great. You can meet the coaches and other parents, ask any questions you might have, whilst enjoying a drink or two , supporting the bar in the process.

If you are unable to attend the registration night, you can either email the forms to susan@lythamcricket.co.uk or post to 17 Clifton Drive, Lytham FY8 5QY.

Please note we cannot confirm individually, safe receipt of forms or money into the bank.

We would be grateful if existing members could register on or before 6th February so that we know how many places we have available for new members. Your place will not be guaranteed after this date.

If your child will not be returning to cricket, please can you drop me an email to confirm.

New members should also register by 6th February. I will aim to notify you within 2 weeks whether you have a place or not.

CLOTHING & KIT

All juniors (U10 -U17) should wear full cricket whites for matches. We ask that juniors wear a Lytham shirt for playing in, which can be purchased from our club web shop, https://www.gray-nicolls.co.uk/collections/lytham-cc

Juniors who play Senior Cricket may have a number on the back of their shirt, however they should check with Susan@LythamCricket.co.uk to see if the number is available before ordering. White trousers are also available to purchase on the web shop however we have no objections to these being purchased elsewhere.

No coloured footwear should be worn during matches. White only.

Juniors will be expected to wear the Lytham training kit to all Friday night training sessions. We will have training kit available to buy or order on registration night so that you will have it in time for the first training session.

If your child has grown out of their kit or equipment you are very welcome to either donate them to our 2nd hand table, or bring it down on 6th Feb and perhaps sell/swap with other members.

VOLUNTEERS

We always need more parents to get involved in various roles. If you can help, please get in touch or complete the box on the registration form.

The club is happy to support you and pay for courses. Here are some of the ways you can help

1.            Coaching

2.            Coaching Assistants

3.            Fundraising

4.            Scorers

5.            Umpires

6.           Social media/updating website

7.           First Aid Co-ordinator

We’re always grateful for anyone who offers their time to support Friday night training, especially with our younger age groups. All we ask is that, if you volunteer, you’re able to make a reasonable commitment.

This doesn’t mean attending every session — although that would be wonderful — but having a small group of parents who can share the load makes a huge difference.

With a few committed helpers, we can put together a simple rota and ensure our coaches and players get the support they need.

We encourage anyone doing their Duke of Edinburgh Award come down and help the coaches with the younger groups on a Friday.

This counts towards their volunteering part of their award. Please email if you can help.
